Candidates will gain an in-depth knowledge of the management of vertebrate and invertebrate pests, be able to identify a range of invertebrate pests and distinguish these from a range of invertebrate animals that are commonly found in association with them. They will also be able to understand a range of factors that affect the delivery of pest management services such as legislation, health and safety and environmental issues.
Assessment is by written examination and the completion of assignments set by RSPH. Candidates will be expected to refer to successful pest management treatments that they have carried out when completing the assignments.
