Learners will increase their knowledge and understanding of why individuals may not actively participate in physical activity, the health benefits of physical activity and how individuals can be helped and supported to improve their health by increasing their level of physical activity.
This single unit qualification is a stand alone individual qualification and can also be taken as one of the optional units as part of the Level 2 Award for Young Health Champions.
This qualification is on The Education and Skills Funding Agency list of qualifications approved for funding. This funding will be withdrawn with effect from 1 August 2021.
This qualification is for individuals with an interest in health who are also interested in helping others develop a healthier lifestyle by encouraging physical activity.
