Pilot applications now closed - Register of Interest welcome!

The Royal Society for Public Health has been commissioned by NHS England to develop a new education pathway in Violence Prevention & Reduction. In 2023 we successfully rolled out the Level 3 and Level 4 Qualifications which provided training to Violence Prevention & Reduction leads within NHS trusts. As part of the continuation of this educational pathway, we have developed an eLearning course that provides an introduction to Violence Prevention & Reduction to anyone working in healthcare.

We had a limited number of free places for individuals from healthcare settings within the NHS in England, to receive early access to the course and provide feedback. We are now fully subscribed on our Pilot applications and no longer accepting places. Approved Pilot learners will receive free access to this course from the 30th April 2024, and the survey at the end of the course will guide the learner through providing feedback.

However we still welcome you to complete the form and register your interest. The RSPH will then be in touch when the course is made available to the public.

During this 1hr eLearning course, participants will be able to:
  • Identify the key policy and legislative drivers for violence prevention and reduction in healthcare settings.
  • Understand and describe the individual, situational and environmental factors that can cause violence.

  • Describe how using public health and trauma informed approaches can prevent violence at individual and community level.
  • Explore a range of best practice approaches that can be used by individuals, teams and organisations to minimise the risk or impact of violence.

At the end of the programme all learners will receive a certificate of completion with 1 continuous professional development (CPD) point.

If you are interested in taking part in this Pilot, please complete the form below by COB 30th April.
Please be advised, we only have a limited number of places on a "first come first served basis."
