National Grid Grain LNG's Health & Wellbeing at Grain LNG programme is a constantly evolving strategy focused on all aspects of health and wellbeing. An embedded system of continuous improvement, advocacy, mentoring and influencing, the data-driven strategy helped to create an engaged, educated and healthier workforce, while sharing best practice in the wider community. 

An impressive application with an innovative and sustainable approach to workplace wellbeing. Built alongside the community; it focuses on passing on knowledge, mentoring supporting mental health and improving the levels of physical activity. There has been continual collation of health data with clear measurements, developed over ten years.

It’s great to be recognised by RSPH like this, as over the past 10 years we’ve evolved our approach to Health & Wellbeing here at Grain LNG, from a ‘nice-to-have’, to being core to our business success. As well as the clear benefits this has delivered for our colleagues, I’m particularly proud of how that’s allowed us to reach out and positively impact our communities, through the broad range of volunteering initiatives we’ve undertaken. Although wellbeing’s now part of our culture, so is continuous improvement and I can’t wait to see how our future initiatives will go on to improve our resilience still further.
