Anglian Water supplies critical services to over six million people and has 5,000 employees covering a large geographical area across the East coast.

As the coronavirus pandemic took hold, leading to more people spending time at home, we’ve been building on the success of our Wellbeing Strategy by developing responsive, innovative measures to support colleagues.

We work hard on encouraging employee wellbeing and creating a culture driven by happier, healthier and safer staff and have a fundamental belief that looking after our people is the right thing to do. We are delighted to be shortlisted for the RSPH Health & Wellbeing Awards as it reflects our commitment to wellbeing across Anglian Water.

An excellent programme utilising an existing and successful salutogenic, holistic (integrated) and community centred platform to continue to provide support to its staff and stakeholders throughout the current COVID-19 pandemic.

At Kensington and Chelsea Council we wanted to do more than simply tick boxes when it came to Black History Month 2020 to help our staff to get the most out of it. So “Black History Month For All – Let’s Understand Each Other” was born, a Covid-compliant programme covering themes that all staff could enjoy, learn and participate, utilising live online sessions on Teams.

A diverse and inclusive project that brings black history, culture and health into the community, with a month of events to help educate and engage. The programme has continually grown and set a precedent for being sustainable by using network and participation feedback.

As Covid hit Watford Borough Council quickly identified that there was a need for a bigger piece of work across both Watford and Three Rivers councils, a project that would be able to identify the short, medium and long term issues and support available to our employees in respect of their Health and Wellbeing at work.

A great programme with some excellent features such as piloting changes in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, providing a programme aimed at protecting the body of people that provide services for the local community, such as frontline workers.
