In November, the multi-agency programme was nominated for the 2019 Community Award at the prestigious Howard League Awards in London.  The awards celebrate best practice in diversionary work in the community that challenges and changes people for the better, recognising work that is delivered above and beyond normal service delivery.

Detective Chief Inspector and North Wales Policing Lead, Helen Douglas Lead and North Wales Partnership Lead Vicky Jones were both invited to the awards in London to represent the Early Action Together programme, alongside some of the most successful projects from across the country.

The Early Action Together programme has led police transformation and has proven to be an excellent example of partnership working.  The programme not only focuses on policing, but on how police work closer with partner organisations to improve responses for vulnerable people.
