Since its launch in 2018, the RSPH and GambleAware collaborated online course ‘Understanding and Responding to Gambling Harms’ has been completed by almost 7,000 people. This free course provides useful guidance to those providing brief interventions to address the risks and harms that arise from Gambling Disorder.

The ‘Understanding and Responding to Gambling Harms’ online course has been updated with a new topic addressing what Gambling Disorder and severe Gambling Disorder is, and what signs may indicate that someone is experiencing difficulties with gambling. Including a guide for conducting brief interventions, the course is particularly relevant for public health professionals and those who do not specialise in the treatment of gambling problems.

The updated course is launched on RSPH new LMS platform RSPH Learn, with enhanced design, functionality, as well as the option for learners to gain a certificate and 3 CPD points. You can access the course here and find out more about what the programme covers.
