Everyone has a part to play in protect themselves from and stopping the spread of coronavirus. The International Scientific Forum on Home Hygiene has put together an advice sheet with measures for how you can keep yourself and others safe from the spread of infection.

This advice was shared by RSPH member, Sally Bloomfield who is the Chairman of the International Scientific Forum on Home Hygiene and an Honorary Professor at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.

The advice sheet covers 3 situations which you may find yourself in:

1. If you are infected, or have an unidentified respiratory infection, or have been in contact with an infected person - or you are living with someone in these categories

2. If you are in an “at risk” or “vulnerable groups" or you are living with someone in these categories

3. If your are well but your daily life involves travelling to, or being in, places where there are large numbers of people

Download the advice sheet to read about how you should comply with government rules for “social distancing", and hygiene advice to reduce your risk of becoming infected, and spreading infection to other people.
