An Update from the RSPH Qualifications Team
At this difficult time, the RSPH Qualifications team are continuing to work from home. We are still able to fulfil bookings for exam papers, but we are advising centres not to run examinations or training unless this can be done remotely or by following the latest Government guidance.
We are currently unable to meet our normal delivery times for exam papers and processing express delivery requests. However, examination papers will be delivered within 14 working days from receipt of the booking. Please be assured that we will work with you so you receive your exam papers in time for your examination. In some cases, we will be able to email a copy of the examination paper to you for printing at home. However, in these circumstances, we will need all electronic copies of the examination paper to be deleted once the papers have been printed. Please get in touch with us for more information about home examination.
Our eAssessment platform is now live and available for bookings for the Level 2 Award in Food Safety and Hygiene and Level 2 Award in Understanding Health Improvement. eAssessment is a new, optional form of learner assessment that we are offering to RSPH centres. It provides the opportunity to assess candidates online, using the Surpass testing platform, an experienced and trusted eAssessment provider.
All eAssessments are carried out remotely, including their invigilation, which guarantees the security and integrity of all your learner’s eAssessments. We will shortly be rolling our eAssessment in Level 2 Award in Understanding HACCP, Level 2 Award in the Safe use of Rodenticides, Level 1 Award in Food Hygiene Awareness, Level 1 Award in Health Awareness and Level 1 Award in Health Improvement with other qualifications to follow. Get in touch with us about eAssessment.
Our London office remains closed and we are only going into the office if absolutely necessary, please do not post completed OMR forms, examination scripts and centre-assessed coursework to our London office. To submit your scripts for marking or assignments for external verification please email scanned versions to us using WeTransfer to [email protected]
Completed OMR forms can be sent directly to our scanning company via Royal Mail Recorded Delivery to:
Emma Sedman, Customer Service Team Leader, Secure & Confidential Documents Ltd, Ventress House, Thornburgh Road, Eastfield, Scarborough, YO11 3UY
If you send us OMR forms, please follow the steps below:
- One file containing the register and all the MCQ scans
- File to be saved as a pdf
- 150dpi minimum in colour
- Scans should be of both sides of all sheets
- Scans should be as straight as possible – skewed scans will require hand marking
- Suggested file naming convention should be Centre Number_Date (YYMMDD) e.g. 4093_200324
If you are unable to scan completed scripts and your only option is to post these to our office, please email [email protected] to notify us that you have posted scripts to the office and we will arrange for these to be collected when possible. Please note that we cannot guarantee when the scripts will be processed and results are subject to delay.
You will be able to obtain results of examinations that have been marked via the centre area and eCertificates will be available for all successful candidates. If you would like printed certificates please email [email protected] and we will arrange this once we have access to the office.
We will inform all of our centres as soon as possible if there are any changes to these arrangements but as always, the safety of centres and learners is of paramount importance to us.
Please refer to the latest Government advice regarding coronavirus and for further information on remote assessment and invigilation, please contact Jennifer Peprell.
